Mangaluru: Padua College observes World Environment Day

Mangaluru, Jun 10: YRC unit of Padua College of Commerce and Management celebrated the World Environment day on June 6.

Jeeth Milan Roche, a renowned environmentalist was the chief guest and the resource person for the programme. 

Jeeth inspired students to preserve and conserve trees and forests. He emphasized that the youth should be responsible towards the environment. The president of the programme, Fr Arun Wilson Lobo addressed the gathering and motivated students to plant a sapling whenever they get the opportunity.

The programme was inaugurated by the dignitaries planting a sapling. Prof Roshan Santhumayor vice principal and YRC coordinator, Prof Akshatha and Zeena, assistant YRC coordinators, YRC student president Farah and secretary Manju were present for the programme.

The programme was attended by all the YRC volunteers. The programme was compered by Sparshitha, a YRC volunteer.
