Mangaluru, Jun 11: Srinivas University – Institute of Port Shipping and Logistics Management (IPSLM) organised day-long faculty development programme on 'Teaching Practices and Techniques in Higher Education' on June 8. The FDP comprised of three sessions with eminent resource personalities. The resource person for the first session was Dr Satyanarayana Reddy, vice chancellor – Srinivas University. He spoke on the 'Lesson plan, attainment process and its significance'. 

The second session was conducted by Dr Jayashree Bolar, assistant registrar – Srinivas University. Her topic for the session was 'Techniques of Teaching Learning Process in Higher Education'. 

The third session was engaged by Chaitanya Inamdar, soft skill trainer. She spoke on the topic 'Presenting A Winning Experience'. 

The objective of the faculty development workshop was to create an awareness among the teaching fraternity of majorly Srinivas University of how to consider the POs; COs and specific programme outcomes in preparing the lesson plan and its implementation while conducting class room teaching. FDP also focused on time and stress management and interpersonal relations. 

The programme was organised under the guidance and leadership of Dr Sonia Noronha, dean, Institute of Port Shipping and Logistics Management, Prof Sagar Srinivas, HOD – BBA port and shipping management, Prof Nelson Pereira, HOD – BBA logistics and supply chain management.
