Bengaluru, Jun 11: In a review of the working of the Finance and Commercial Taxes Departments, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is also heading the Finance portfolio, advised officers to perform and achieve the targets in different sectors.
Talking tough, Siddaramaiah, who held the review meeting in Vidhana Soudha on Tuesday, asked the officers to make concerted efforts to achieve the targets and said he will take into account the performance of the officers during the transfers.
“Bringing influence or any other tactics will work,” he said and warned the officers, who fail to fulfill the targets set for them will face disciplinary actions.
The State Government is serious about fulfilling its promises and wants all the officers to work for the success of the programmes, he said.
Chief Minister’s Economic Adviser Basavaraja Rayareddy, Political Secretary K Govindaraju, Finance Department Additional Chief Secretary L K Atiq, Finance Department Secretary P C Jaffer and Commercial Taxes Department Commissioner C Shikha were present at the review meeting.
