Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Oct 24: Miscreants pelted stones at the chapel located near Padua High School in the city and damaged its window panes on Sunday October 23.

The incident came to the notice of the concerned on Sunday morning.

It is suspected that those who desecrated the statue of St Theresa's School in the wee hours on Sunday were involved with this incident too.

The statue at St Theresa's School and the chapel are said to have been attacked at the same time, simultaneously, however, since no official complaint was filed till Sunday evening by the Chapel authorities, the matter was reported late.

St Theresa's School was targetted by three miscreants who came on a bike in the early hours of Sunday. The same evening, the PTA members and the staff of the school stated at a press meet that it might have been a planned attack as bike without number plates was used and the culprits threw bricks at the statue and also broke window panes of the school building.

So Nagesh, you agree that your BJP government in the state is incompetent and impotent to maintain law and order in the state? Is it your BJP or the congress which is ruling Karnataka?. With the number of your ministers inside jail and the procession of ministers utside, waiting to go to jail, one is hardly surprised that this government has any time to maintian law and order. Use common sense while writing comments. Just do not put your foot in your mouth.

What to say about this incident!? Is it a planned attack again on the Churches or act of goondagiri? But one thing is certain whoever they may be God knows who are they. Please do not blame any community for this act. St' Theresa will handle this case & will not allow them unless the culprits confess from their mouth. Let us all pray and wait for the day. It will come soon.

Kishore UDUPI & Paddu Mangalore,if you people know the evil planning of said parties then why police not arresting said party's people?Mere setting aside of bucks to minorities not @ all do any good to law and order situation in the state. We need safety and security for lives and properties of minorities from the clutches of SENES who are picking fight for trivial reasons.Bring tight law and order in the society that would be best policy, BJP can offer to minorities. One thing in this particular issue to doubt Sanghparivar outfits because they were involved earlier like such incidents and yet they were roaming scot free which might be abated them to repeat. We have still faith in Police department but some are how their hand's are tied due to.......(Everybody knows)We condemn such kind of incidents and demand immediate arrest of culprits.

No one from the the Christian Community has blamed any particular group or party for this misdeed of pelting stones at our sacred places. It is you who are trying to put into our head the hatred towards Congress. For us any party/group/individual who does this stupid act is same. Regarding (Not)understanding the agenda of these Congis, we have understood the hidden agenda of others too. If you are so sure as to who is behind this act and think that we fail to understand, then why dont you come forward to expose them with proof? That will be a great service to the society rather than trying to divide it on Minority-Majority basis. For christians, we have far better things to do than think about who is minority and who is majority....

Kishore, we dont need your 100 Crores for our welfare. What Christian community has achieved today is not from Govt. grants. We seek peace and peaceful coexistence with all communities.
Im not bothered which party is behind this act. Just punish the criminals. Law is equal to all.
By the way what makes you think that Christians wil vote for BJP just bcoz they released some amount for our welfare?

It is very much heartening to note that the Chapel near Padua School is attached by some miscents. Policy Department has assured that the culprits will be caught within a short period. But I doubt that the police will not be in a postion to catch the miscrents. Even when those people attacked the churches in Mangaqlore and other places three years ago, police have not caught a single person so far. This incident may be political and non-political. But only after catching the persons who were responsbble for this incident, we can come to the conclusion. I can only say that before taking the power of Karnataka by BJP, such this were not at all there.

Paddu, if any one want to disturb Advanis yatra, it would be other religion worship places not peace loving Catholics schools or worship places. You can imagine if same thing would have happened to other communities?

Paddu Mangalore you are 100% right. Yes this is just to disturb Advani's Yatra by Communal Congress & JDS. But our Christian & Muslims brothers will not under stand this. Last month CM granted 100 crores to Christian welfare fund instead 50 crores. When ever BJP tries to please the minority these type things happens. Because Congress can not spare minority votes to BJP. So my advice to BJP is stick to Hindu Votes.

If the Congress is behind it, ánd the BJP is very sure why not catch the culprits. The state administration, police, intelligence machinery, Mangalore city corporation is all in your hands. Instead of making stupid excuses catch the culprits, expose them and punish them. If you cannot do this while you are in power, what better can be expected of you otherwise.
