Ninth day novena held at St Anthony's Basilica, Dornahalli, Mysuru

Mysuru, Jun 12: The ninth day of Novena devotion preceding the annual feast of St Anthony of Padua was held on June 12, at St Anthony's Basilica, Dornahalli, Mysuru.

Fr Alexander Daniel OFM, Krupalaya, Bogadi, celebrated the eucharistic and prayed for the intentions of the devotees with Fr N T Joseph, rector, St Anthony's Basilica Dornahalli, and Fr Praveen Pedru, administrator, St Anthony's Basilica Dornahalli.

At the end of the mass, a novena was held in honour of St. Anthony, during which special intercessions were sought for the various needs and prayer intentions of the devotees. A procession of the holy statue of St Anthony and benediction of the holy eucharist was organized after the mass.

Today marks the last day of the Novena, which was successfully held over nine days. Tomorrow, June 13, is the feast of St Anthony. Masses will be held throughout the day, starting from 5 am to 5:30 pm. All are welcome to participate in the celebrations.
