Bahrain Kannada Sangha to hold poojas, Sri Shanishwara Mahatme Yakshagana on Jun 14

Bahrain, Jun 13: State award winning Kannada Sangha of Bahrain has organized Shani Pooja, Satyanarayana Pooja and Yakshagana show on June 14 at the Kannada Bhavana auditorium in the city.

Shani Pooja and Satyanarayana Pooja will be held at 3 pm by Vedamurthy Krishna Adiga, temple priest of renowned Kadri Kshethra of Mangaluru. At 5.30 pm Shri Shanishwara Mahatme Yakshagana play will be presented. This play is directed by Natyaguru Deepak Rao Pejawara. The artistes include Kadri Navaneeth Shetty, Vijay Kumar Shetty Moilottu and artistes of Bahrain. The Yakshagana is written by poet Chinmaya Dasa and Sitanadi Ganapaiah Shetty.

The stage programme will be held at 8 pm. Kadri Navaneeth Shetty, Vijaya Kumar Shetty Moilottu, Vedamurthy Krishna Adiga and Yakshopasana centre Natyaguru Deepark Rao couple will be felicitated. Maha Mangalarati and Prasada distribution will be held at 8.30 pm. Dinner is arranged at the end of the programme.

Entry is free and open to all Kannadigas. President Amarnath Rai has asked Kannadigas to attend in large numbers. Guest artistes and priests already arrived in Bahrain and they were warmly welcomed in the airport by president and other office bearers of the association.
