Pejawar Swamiji Justifies Religious Leaders Meeting Yeddyurappa in Jail

Daijiworld Media Network – Madikeri (SP)

Madikeri, Oct 24: Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Udupi Pejavar Mutt has justified the meeting of a few Swamijis and religious leaders with former Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa in jail, stating that religious personalities are not barred from meeting jailed people.

He was answering queries relating to criticisms aimed at religious head of Sri Siddhaganga Mutt Tumkur, Dr Shivakumara Swamiji and other mutt heads, who had met Yeddyurappa in jail.

The Swamiji was speaking to news persons who met him at his camp at Lord Bhagandeshwara Temple in Bhagamandala in the district on Sunday October 23.

“I am aware that Yeddyurappa has been arrested for his alleged involvement with corrupt activities. His guilt is not yet been declared by the court. There is nothing wrong if one meets people facing allegations to provide them moral support,” he opined.

He pointed out that in the country’s history, various leaders have met people facing allegations including some who were given death sentences. “Providing moral support and guiding people towards the path of righteousness does not need anyone’s approval or nod,” he felt.

About the scandals of corruption that are regularly surfacing in Karnataka and elsewhere, the Swamiji said that corruption should be rooted out. He hastened to add that the fate of people charged with corruption should be allowed to be decided by courts alone, and no outside interference is needed. He also extended his best wishes to the Rath Yatra planned by BJP leader, L K Advani, to create awareness among the people against corrupt activities.

Let us agree that Yediyurappa might have done some wrong and jailed pending enquiry. He is is a citizen of Indian has every right to consult his lawyers, friends and meet any one he likes to put his defence.Likewise anybody who likes to contact him may do so so and that is his/their right bestowed under the constitution.Sri Pejavar swamiji is also under this perview and like any other citizen he can act as a normal citizen because of his good relation with Yedurappa.
I wonder when the people accused in pelting stones, attacking police, bombing city centres and jailed on the serious charges can be met by religious leaders, and deligations to Gov,CM to fulfil their demands can be termed as normal why Pejavar swamiji can't meet the jailed Yedyurappa?
Can ones political thinking come in the way to meet the accused be termed as unrealistic/undemocretic be it a saint, sanyasi or common man?
    A point to ponder!!!

Instead of condemning the corruption these swamiji's like Pejawar have shown an attitude of support and justification to the corruptive motive of politicians like yediyurappa as if he is a saintly figure in Karnataka, is he the only person in jail, no Katta naidu, J. Reddy... are they not humans ....courtsey should be shown to everyone .... alike there are so many others too who are in jail... this is nothing but his money is deposited in the safe hands of these swamis.....that needs to checked by Lokayukta

This seer is modern day chanakya of BJP govt in karnataka. Why he has not given right direction when Yeddy and his cabinet were indulging in corruption and why he has not advised when Reddys are lootingn our state wealth?? Why he is not advising those trustees of mutts and temples who eat up hundis and amass wealth?? Why he is not spending the hundi collection on devotees like Dr Heggade of Dharamasthala spends??

Whats his contribution to the social welfare of his own community??? Dear swamiji, prevention is always better than cure. Now when Yeddys and Reddys are in jail, you and your team is giving moral support which means what they did is right. Again the sanathana siddhanta of karma holds good here. Yeddi and Reddys are reaping the fruits of their karma but for you its janma and not karma as you only believe in janma and not in karma.. Very sad.

What is wrong in the Shri Pejavar Swamiji's statement. He clearly told giving moral support and guiding people on right path is not wrong. Mr. Yadiyurappa is a mass leader. If he done any mistake and the any Swami Guide him on the right path what is the problem. Before comment think twice. We majority hindus of Udupi respect Pejavar Swami. he is our religious leader. I dint find anything wrong with Swami's statement. The coments of many people from other community will force us to think about them and will force us to change our mind set on other community.

Mr. Yeddyurappa granted crores of rupees to temples. The money was received in the name of temples in fact was collected by Mr. Yeddyurappa. Hence these religious leaders are convincing him to give back the money. If you do not give back you will be in jail contineously perhaps a warning they are issuing to Mr. Yeddyurappa.

We have to lose every hope on such people and our prajaprabhutva in Karnataka. Recently so many mathadipathis have supported Yeddy though there are concrete evidences that he is guilty in all respects. If swamijis are supporting guilty people, what will be the future of India?

Forgiveness is found in every religion. The same reason people tolerate all religious leaders knowingly they are corrupt. There is no difference between any religion and political party. Every religious leader want to control people under their sector/religion, the same reason they want people to reach God Through them, political leader know people listen these leaders. Lets not blame any party or religion. any one steel does not become a thief. Unless he is caught. There are some caught but found to manage not to be a thief. So going and meeting a person brings any positive change then welcome. If a visit is not selfish? we do not know the cause why swami goes lets not be very harsh on him .

Fake swamijis and babas are not restricted to any particular community, they are in large numbers in other communities too. Their existence and nonsense prediction makes the ruling head to believe in some rituals and practices that would save from any dangers. If god wishes to do some thing bad to some one, he can not escape from it because he is destined to pass through it. You can take the examples of Yediyorappa who was a frequent visitor to various temples and Astrologers to save his chair. Neither the gods of the temple nor the swamijis he visited could save him from the current situation. It's more ridiculous and funny that not a single Swamiji or Astrologer till the denial of bail couldn't predict that yedyoorappa will be sent to jail one day. So where is astrology and where is prediction. You can not overtake God.The sad thing is despite being known this fact, majority of us are still after such astrology and prediction.

Swamiji, you should realise that there are thousands and thousands of minority youths, majority of whom are innocent, rotting inside various jails in India for months and years. Are you not aware of that? Are they not human being? Are they not fellow Indian citizens?
You and the other godly swamijis are supporting the one who is known to have misused his position and made personal wealth in Crores and also reached the CM’s chair by purchasing MLAs using Reddy brother’s illegal mining wealth: Isn’t that enough proof?

There is no need for Pejawar Shri to give justification to the media that he met Yeddy in jail along with other Swamijis. Having said that, I personally feel that there is nothing wrong in meeting Yeddy and giving him bit of moral and devine support by the religious personalities as Yeddy was close to Swamijis and had a very close proximity to temples and religious heads of Mutt's. Why do people make such a big hue and cry over such a trivial issue who meets Yeddy in Jail, who talks to him etc etc. He is in Jail for his wrong doings and let the law of the country decide his fate.
