Islamabad, Oct 24 (IANS): A man in Pakistan gave an intoxicant to his parents and six siblings and then killed them by shooting them in the head.
The incident took place in Gujranwala district Saturday night.
Afzal, 21, first gave some intoxicant to his family members and then shot them all in the head, reported the News International Monday.
The dead include three children.
Afzal then attempted to show that it was an armed robbery but injuring himself. But he confessed to the crime during questioning.
Afzal, 21, shot dead his father Asghar Ali, mother Sajida Bibi, four brothers -- Muzammal, Iqbal, Sajid and Abid -- and two sisters, Anam and Sanam.
He tied them with ropes before opening fire at about 2.a.m.
He told the police that his father was a gambler who used to have altercations with his mother and he had suspicions about his mother's 'character'. He claimed he killed his siblings to save them from misery.
