Udupi: Harrish Mohammed wins international photography contest

Udupi, Jun 14: Harrish Mohammed, from Udupi, currently residing in Saudi Arabia won the 1st position in an international photography competition, organized by 35 awards under the black and white category.

Harrish Mohammed, a passionate wildlife photographer, in August 2023, captured a single tusker elephant photograph in the dark forest, during an evening safari in the lush forests of Kabini, Karnataka. As it is very rare to see an elephant with one tusk and with the magical forest ambiance, it captured the portrait of an elephant which won an international award.

Harrish Mohammed, stating why this award is special to him, said, “This award is very special to me, to all other achievements in photography. This is special because of the toughness in the level of participation, with a total of 4,65,000 photos submitted by 1,11,253 photographers from 174 countries. This win is truly humbling.”
