Udupi: One arrested over drug consumption

Udupi, Jun 14: One person was arrested over drug consumption near Jai hind Junction in Udyavar on June 11.

The accused arrested is identified as Dhanraj (43). During duty, Abdul Kadhar, sub-inspector found that Dhanraj was intoxicated and brought him for a test at Manipal KMC forensic medicine department on the suspicion of having consumed narcotic substance.

Later on June 13, it was confirmed that Dhanraj had consumed drugs.

A case has been registered in Kaup police station and investigation is in progress.
