Mangalore, Oct 24: The Diwali celebration organized by Karavali Group of Colleges at Karavali Institute of Technology, Neermarga campus, had some delightful moments for lecturers and students on Monday October 24.
S Ganesh Rao, founder president, G R Education Trust and Karavali College, inaugurated the celebration by lighting the lamp.
Heads of various departments and students celebrated the festival in the college well in advance as many students planned to go to their homes for the festival which falls on Wednesday October 26.
Girls welcomed everyone by lighting the traditional ‘diyas’ and later fire crackers were burst.
Lata Rao, director of the College, and other faculty members were present. A cultural programme was also staged by students on the occasion. All the gathered students enjoyed the festive celebration and the sky was lit up by special fireworks.
