Kundapur: Attempt to steal cows from Kamalashile temple foiled by alert CCTV personnel

Daijiworld Media Network – Kundapur (MS)

Kundapur, Jun 17: The vigilant actions of the CCTV team at the Kamalashile temple prevented an attempted theft of cows from the temple’s Goshala late on Saturday night.

At around 2:46 a.m. on Sunday, two thieves entered the goshala of the Kamalashile temple, cut the ropes securing three cows, and attempted to load them into a vehicle. The temple has an agreement with ‘Sign in Securities’ for live CCTV monitoring. The personnel monitoring the CCTV at their center in Ankadakatte, Kundapur, immediately alerted the beat police, the sub-inspector (SI), and the temple's security guards.

As the security guards rushed to the goshala, the thieves fled. Apart from one cow that initially went missing, the others were found safe. The missing cow was later found just outside the gate.

Kundapur deputy superintendent of police (DySP) and the SI arrived at the scene to gather information about the thieves. DySP K U Belliappa stated that the culprits would be apprehended soon.

Nivedita Sir, Dont you feel empathy, when holy cows/bulls (nandi) are left out on streets and survive on roadside garbage and beg food in front of the shops ? Other day i saw a cow stood in front of a fruit stall and the shop owner ate banana and threw a tiny banana peel at that cow. These cows create so much panic/nuisance in the smooth running of the traffic. Those who cows should look after them inside the compound and not to drive them home in the evening for milking. How safe must be their milk to consume?

If just 30 % of them had lived the way they preach to their own community & others, then the whole world would have been living peacefully by now. No one stands for the peace but ready for any kind of violence by quoting the scriptures.
