Sullia: Labourer dies on electricity pole, electrocution suspected

Sullia, Jun 18: A labourer died on an electricity pole while undertaking repair work at Parla near Alekkadi of the taluk.

The deceased is identified as Prakasha (29), son of Krishnappa Gowda. The incident occurred when labourers of an outsourced company of Kadaba were carrying out repair work of an electricity line under Mescom Panja section on Monday morning.

Prashant, who was working on the pole, screamed and went unconscious on the pole itself. Other labourers saw he was stuck on the pole. It is suspected that he might have died due to electrocution or some other reason.

Bellare police are investigating further.
