Mangalore, Oct 25:
Chief minister Sadananda Gowda (DVS) on Tuesday October 25 said that development work in the state will be carried out on war footing, based on priority. Work on Sampaje-Mane road will be done swiftly and completed within the stipulated time.

Speaking after a meeting with district administration of Udupi and Dakshina Kannada (DK), DVS said that the work on Shiradi Ghat in Bangalore-Mangalore stretch has been unnecessarily delayed due to non-cooperation from the central government, hence, the state government will release funds for now which can be later reimbursed by the centre. The work will be completed by April next year, he assured.

He also promised that potholes on several roads in DK district and Udupi will be filled by the PWD by December. Both zilla panchayat in DK and Udupi have enough funds to provide drinking water and it will be ensure that people do not face from scarcity of water even during the months of February, March and April, he added.

"In Sullia, a 110-KW power line will be set up within a month. Three to Four surveyors will be appointed for the purpose. Also, the vacant posts in ESCOMS will be filled as soon as possible," he said.

He also informed that the Udupi government hospital was still not a 200-bed hospital and action will be taken as per the decision taken in the meeting. There is scarcity of medicines in both the districts, but a decision will be taken on this keeping in view the entire state, he said.

Since mid-day meals provided in primary schools menu is 'bisibelebath' which is not the staple meal of the coastal districts, the CM said that a decision has been taken in the meeting to replace it with rice and rasam.

On Advani's Rath Yatra, he said appropriate security measures have been chalked out and that it would be a grand success.

He called upon the MCC to speed up development works and added that as the mayor and the district incharge minister have demanded more funds for road repair work, the second phase of the funds will be released immediately.

MP Nalin Kumar, MLAs Yogish Bhat and Raghupathi Bhat, district in-charge minister Palemar among others were present.

Smiling CM is giving false promises. if you see our roads from mangalore to sullia and Mangalore to Nelyadi (which is consituency of CM), you will see pathetic condition. CM is talking about repairing rural roads when our Highways are in poor condition Most of accidents in highways occur and innocent passangers die because of poor condition of roads. People need immediate actions from CM, not publicity stunts.

Mr. CM told all the pending files should be completed with in fifteen days and also all the new files. We do not know so far how many files are completed and how many people are benefited from his order. Some application are still pending in many ministers office[FRom THree Years] and the answer is “Minister is busy and he is not having time to come office.” And some office staff’s scratching their head, looking for some bribe. He promised that all the cases will be withdrawn which police filled during church attack. But till today he is sleeping on it. Now he is talking about war footing development. One question to all political leaders, CM, and his gang: “When you guys will stop bluffing citizens?”

Mr DVS, please urge center to complete Hassan-Bangalore railway line and introduce new train between Blore-karwar. We are fed up traveling in ghat section and paying huge amount to private buses(sometimes as high as 900 Rs for one way trip)

Decision will be taken is the latest slogan of honorable K'taka CM. Like Dr. Acharya was Home minister he used to say similar words !!! We need developments in twin districts during your tenure as CM of the state not the fake promises DVSji. So Pls speed up the developmental works so that few years later people of this twin districts should remember you as CM of this state had done good job. Otherwise just like Dr Acharyaji nobody remembers of him even though he was ex Home Minister

    Dear CM,
Today I have travelled on the Shiradi Ghat road. The stretch from Gundya to Sakleshpur nearly 40 Km is completely gone and unfit for human travel. There are thousands of vehicles plying on this route and many accidents are taking place. I appeal to you to take up repair of this stretch on utmost priority without waiting for Central Govt. funds. I also request you to stop developing Bangalore further and divert these funds for repair/constuction of roads and development infrastrucure in the twin districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

Please make good the loss of your predecessor by chalking out all the possible development works in Karnataka. People have lost trust in the BJP administration. Rice and Sambar a good combination DVS. Ensure there are no worms like in politics.

war foot means, there is no guarantee of this govt. any time ready to collapse, so you need war style loot, last moment gather as much as you can, so allot all tender and un related work to his own people, make more money and leave bankrupt account for general public. neither those tender will complete in time, neither people will get real benefit or works will be very bad to finish off in shortest time

DVS......saab the immediate focus should be on roads of SH/ZP of DK/Udupi as most of SH roads are in a pathetic condition. The roads of DK/UDUPI, due to heavy and unusual rains tend to deteriorate frequently. We need sustainable maintenance of SH/ZP roads every year.On the other hand sanctioning for funds to NH-Shirady road is hailed. Further, need to pressure Center to take up four lanes roads Bangalore-Mangalore via shirady road ASAP.

Beside what we need from you is law and order situation especially in DK/UDUPI.You have a good chance to do some thing for your native place,-Mangalore/Udupi before expire of unpredictable CM chair under given situation.
