Udupi: Orientation programme for first-year PU students held at Government College

Udupi, Jun 18: An orientation programme of the first-year PU students held at Government College, Belman, recently.

Mamatha Devi G S, ADC Udupi district, inaugurated the sports and cultural activities. In her inaugural note, she gave a lecture on facing competitive exams and said, “Every student will have confusion in selecting the field of their studies. When we have specific goals and ambition we will be able to succeed in education. Never lose patience, true personality is formed only with patience. If students believe in themselves then they can become successful.”

Mamatha Devi, stating about the academic learning, said, “Students can succeed only when they completely immerse themselves in academic learning. In life problems are common but do not lose patience. Making mistakes is common but the same mistake should not be repeated. Mobile should be used for education purposes."

Speaking on education in Udupi, she said, “Udupi is a cultural city, people from all over the world come to Udupi to pursue education. Being educated is a matter of pride. The number of people choosing government jobs is less in coastal regions. Students should take competitive exams, with the guidance of teachers.”

Vasanth Achar, principal, presided over the event and welcomed the gathering. Madhav A, lecturer, Physics Department, presided over the event. Kishor B, senior lecturer, proposed a vote of thanks.

Vijay Kumar Naik, lecturer, Department of Economics, Sarvajna Tantri Belman, secretary, Alumni Association, Gopal, head teacher, High School Department, other lecturers and faculties were present.
