Udupi: Fire accident at petrol pump averted due to alert workers’ quick response

Udupi, Jun 19: A potential disaster was averted at a petrol pump near Udupi’s city bus stand on Tuesday June 18, due to the timely response of the pump’s workers. A fire broke out in the generator at the petrol pump due to a short circuit.

The incident occurred at a petrol pump located on the main road of the national highway near Udupi’s city bus stand. The fire started in the generator, and the pump’s workers quickly noticed the flames. Demonstrating quick thinking and alertness, they moved the generator to the main road of the national highway and extinguished the fire. Subsequently, they informed the fire department.

The fire department personnel successfully put out the fire, and thanks to the workers' prompt actions, a potential disaster at the petrol pump was avoided.
