Mangaluru: Second main accused in Jaleel murder case granted bail

Mangaluru, Jun 20: The second main accused of Katipalla Abdul Jaleel murder case, Suvin Kanchan was granted conditional bail by the court.

A single judge bench of justice Vishwajit Shetty, who conducted the inquiry for the accused granted bail to Suvin on the condition of two sureties, Rs two lac bond and to present while called for inquiry. Arun Shyam, senior lawyer of the high court argued for Suvin.

Abdul Jaleel was stabbed with a dragger knife at around 7.50 pm on December 24, 2022 inside Latifa Stores situated at fourth block of Katipalla. Abdul Jaleel escaped the attack and ran towards the road, however, the accused gang chased him and stabbed repeatedly resulting in his death.
