Value added course on 'Fundamentals of Finance for Entrepreneurs' held at SMVITM, Bantakal

Udupi, Jun 20: Value added course on “Fundamentals of Finance for Entrepreneurs” held at SMVITM, Bantakal, from May 29 to June 14.

The programme is organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of SMVITM in association with the Institution's Innovation Council. It was scheduled for 30 hours and covered different modules related to finance. Well qualified resource persons were invited to deliver the session.

In the valedictory programme held on June 14, Harish Belman, head, Premier Investments and also Governing Council member of SMVITM was the chief guest, delivering an abundance of information related to opportunities in the Capital market during his session.

Prof Dr Thirumaleshwara Bhat, principal, SMVITM, in his presidential remark, mentioned that, “This kind of a programme will help to generate new ideas which will help mankind to resolve their problems.” He congratulated the participants for showing interest to participate in such events.

Dr Madhukar Nayak, coordinator of Entrepreneurship Development Cell of SMVITM, summarized the 30 hours value-added course by recognizing the resource persons and coordinators.

Later the certificates were distributed to the participants.

Sahana Karanth, senior assistant professor, Department of CSE welcomed the gathering. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Usha Parvathi, senior assistant professor, Department of Physics. The programme was compered by Adithi Nayak of third year CSE.
