Doha: Creative Ladies Vie for Top Spot at KSQ Talent Event

Doha, Oct 26: KSQ ladies wing organized "Ladies Talent Event 2011" recently for the expats from Karnataka at Ashoka Hall. The festive mood was very much evident as ladies thronged the venue in large numbers.

The exclusive ladies event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by V S Mannangi, president KSQ, ladies co-ordinator Savitha Arun and committee members Milan Arun, Hema Lakkappa, Shilpa Mannangi and and chief guest of the evening Dr Seema Agarwal, a leading doctor at Al Emadi Hospital, emergency department.

Suma Mahesh, MC of the evening took charge of the proceedings. Manu Madhu Prasad sang a welcome song to begin the meeting.















































Mannangi while welcoming the ladies appreciated the efforts of Ladies Wing in organizing such a function, exclusively for ladies. Hema Lakkappa, Ladies Advisory Board Members welcomed the chief guest by presenting a bouquet. Chief guest of the evening Dr Seema Agarwal spoke in length about many women's ailments, their prevention and treatment methods. A question and answer session followed, where many ladies sought the doctor's opinion on their problems. Savitha Arun, main ladies co-ordinator spoke about the event and presented a momento to chief guest on behalf of KSQ.

The competitions got off to a superb start with more than 30 ladies taking part in first event of the evening “Healthy Food Competition”. Ladies culinary expertise was there to see with many mouth watering dishes were on display. This was followed by “Rangoli Competition”, where more than 20 ladies took part in it. The gathered audience were awestruck with brilliance of Artwork, as they were treated to some fine Rangolis by participating ladies. Immediately after that 15 ladies took part in the third competition of the day “Creative Art with Beads”.

To involve other ladies gathered for the event many “One Minute Games” were organized. Many ladies enthusiastically took part in it. Written quiz was conduted among the gathered audience and top 12 were grouped in 6 different teams for the final quiz competition. Many rounds were conducted as part of the quiz competition. Milan Arun, Ladies Advisory Board Member along with Savitha Arun conducted the quiz competition.The winners of the different competitions are as follows:


Herbal Rice (Cooking Competition)

Creative Art with Beads Competition

The judges for the cooking competition were Sonia Bhavnani and Bharati Utture.

The judges for the Rangoli and Creative Art with Beads were Anupama kimi and Chaitra Somanath.

V S Mannangi, Arun Kumar and Milan Arun presented momentos to the judges. KSQ Committee members Deepak Shetty, Manjunath CR and Mahesh Gowda presented gifts to winners of various competitions.

Mrs Pal was declared the 'Best Dressed Lady of the evening'. Milan Arun and Hema Lakkappa conducted Bingo.

    Ladies Wing organised " LADIES TALENT EVENT 2011" exclusively for ladies recieved huge response with more than 100 participants taking part in different competitions. Congratulations to KSQ Ladies wing for organising such an unique event.
