Kejriwal Warns Government of Bigger Agitation

New Delhi, Oct 26 (IANS): Team Anna member Arvind Kejriwal Tuesday warned the government of a much bigger agitation if it "kept targeting" the anti-corruption movement.

?If the government keeps targeting us like this, next time around, the people will deliver a movement that will be ten timess bigger than the one we saw in August,? said Kejriwal.

He defended Team Anna member Kiran Bedi, who is under attack for inflating her travel bills, and said: "If Kiran Bedi has committed a crime, hang her. Send her to jail but talk about the Lokpal bill. Whatever mistake she has done, investigate and punish her but we cannot decide it in a press conference whether the allegations are true or false."

"Dont forgive us. Give us twice the punishment given to common people. But bring the Lokpal and you will have to," he said.

    Kejriwal Saab, forget leading an agitation ten times bigger than the August Movement. This time I bet, you will not have people supporting you will be less than One Tenth of the August Movement. The more you oppose Congress and favour RSS/BJP, you will be the loser.

    It has been consistently noticed that the trio of the so-called Anna Team - Kejriwal, Kiran, and Sisodia are using fowl language at the Government without giving concrete & factual reasons against them. This is violence, and unacceptable to Gandhian methods. It is evident that they also induce Anna Hazare to twitter unacceptable language like 'gang of four'! It is evident that the Team is headed toward self-destruction

    After reading the comments here, it seems that we are still not able to rise above religious bondage.

    Mr. Arvind Kejrival is an invaluable asset of India. Annaji's forum is the only forum where one can expect uprightness and honesty.

    Definitely corruption can be controlled through Jan Lokpal Bill to a great extent provided the bill gets passed in the Parliament.

    Why readers are targeting the Anna team is really not understandable except there is an element of religious unfounded suspicion.

    There is no rule that only honest/non-corrupt persons should lead or support a Jan Lokpal Bill.

    Our and our children's good future lies in the passage of Jan Lokpal Bill. Cleansing of the system should begin from top and not from bottom as extremely large corrupt kingpins are at the top and not at the bottom.

    Dear Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi,

    Every poor Indian wants a Lokpal Bill but it all depends on the mercy of the politicians whom we the very poor have elected. However, once entering the Parliament, these our representatives sing their own tune and none is interested in passing bill because the bill is a noose for each of them.

    You two and Anna must instead go to people and teach them the result of paying bribes. Its because of paying bribes that the Babus do not do their work. Once this awareness is created, people will bring to the fore every case that demands bribe and the politician involved will need to prove it wrong. As Lincoln said, they cannot foo all people at all times.

    Then, a Lokpal Bill will come in force without any agitation. Team Anna, please work from the grass root - not from the top.

    This Kejriwal has really gone nuts. Each passing day he comes with a new and ridiculous statement. He should first answer questions pertaining to his integrity instead of cursing, abusing and threatening the government. These guys call themselves Gandhians, but look at the words they use to describe opponents. Calling them names like liars, thieves, ruffians etc etc. Would the Mahatma ever done this even while being provoked. Each of these guys has an axe to grind and the Lokpal is only an excuse to cover their ulterior motives. I feel sorry for the people who have fallen in their trap and have blindly started following them without using rationale and reason.

    Kejriwal has been accused to siphoning trust’s funds and Kiran Bedi has accepted her offense.

    Hang? This word is a slur against a society we call civilized and India. Besides Kejriwal, it is a slur to the Gandhian values which you overtly profess your movement is all about. After the splits dissensions and corruption scandals, don't you think you living in the moon to expect a 10 times increase in crowds to see Anna that too "fasting" and supplementing his energy levels through drinking glucose and electrolytes?? Don't be surprised to be greeted by mobs carrying black flags and throwing slippers.

    Parliament will pass a Lokpal Bill but not your draconian bill which your Ford Foundation-CIA masters want you to pass.
    And if I caught your attention so far, take time to react to the "public audit" of your NGO - Public Cause Research Foundation 5 year accounts.

    Well said...
    Any other politician have guts to talk like him regarding introducing the Lokpal Bill. If bill comes in existence, then all corrupt people will go behind the bars including bedi and kejriwal. Why dont people think that? instead blaming anna team.
