St Agnes PU College celebrates 10th International Yoga Day with theme 'Yoga for Self and Society'

Mangaluru, Jun 21: St Agnes PU College celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day with the theme "Yoga for Self and Society." Over 120 students participated in yoga, following a syllabus designed by the Ministry of Ayush.

The event featured yoga sessions conducted by physical director Jayashree, Chaithanya, lecturer in Physics and Shubhavani, lecturer in Computer science. The students enthusiastically practiced various asanas and pranayama, highlighting the health benefits of these practices.

 

The college extended yoga day celebration to St Agnes Special School, engaging about 205 differently-abled children in yoga activities and a session for 85 students of the St Agnes Kannada Primary School, aiming to promote the holistic benefits of yoga to a wider community. The overarching goal was to foster a deeper connection between self-care and societal well-being through yoga.
