Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Jun 22: Vision Konkani, in collaboration with Daijiworld, is set to unveil its highly anticipated new musical project. The launch event is scheduled for Sunday, July 7, at the LCRI block of St Aloysius College, Mangaluru, commencing at 5 pm.

Vision Konkani is the brainchild of NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael D’Souza, a passionate advocate for the Konkani language. He actively supports talents in the Konkani language, particularly in the arts and literature.

This exciting project showcases brand-new Konkani songs. Out of 220 submitted lyrics, the committee has meticulously selected 12 contributions from 9 talented lyricists. These chosen lyrics have been given to 11 music composers from the Konkani music industry to bring to life.

For this project, 15 singers have lent their voices, each adding a unique touch to the compositions.

During the same grand event, 10 Konkani books will also be released. These books, funded by Vision Konkani, are initiatives of the World Konkani Center.

Adding to the celebrations, Daijiworld media's movie banner will be launched on the same stage, marking its debut production.

This promises to be an eventful evening celebrating Konkani music, literature, and cinema, bringing together talented artists and contributors from the community.

The event will also feature side-splitting comedy from Mellu Valencia and spectacular dance performances by the artistes of Urban Groove.

Free entry is available for pass holders only.
