Picasso Painting Stolen in Colombia

Bogota, Oct 26 (IANS): A Picasso painting was stolen from a museum in Colombia's southern province of Cauca.

The museum said that the theft of the untitled water color painting, estimated at $60,000, took place Oct 21 and it was being probed. The painting was donated by a Colombian sculptor, Edgar Negred, to the museum.

Ramiro Nadia, an official, said the museum does not have "the technical equipment to protect these art works" due to high security cost, reported Xinhua.
