Kundapur: Assault on 13-yr-old boy - Community demands police arrest of accused

Kundapur, Jun 23: Vishwakarma Samaj Seva Sangathana has lodged a complaint at Shankaranarayana Police Station demanding the arrest of Shantarama Shetty Narumakki, a local resident of Jansale Heggeri, accused of fatally assaulting a 13-year-old boy from Jansale.

Sub-Inspector Naseer Hussain stated efforts are underway to locate the accused, who fled without his mobile phone. He assured that all efforts will be made to apprehend him.

Present on the occasion were Upralli Sri Kalikamba Temple Administrator Moktesara Kali Chandraya Acharya, 2nd Moktesara Prabhakara Acharya, president of Sankara Narayana Vishwakarma Samaja Seva Sangha Udaya Acharya, Jansale Magane Moktesara Krishnaiah Acharya, Hindu Vigilance Forum leader Chandra Acharya Shiriyar, Ganesh Shetty from Namma Bhumi Institute, Raghavendra Acharya from Ullur 74 Maganeya Moktesara, former Moktesar Satish Acharya from Ullur, president of Halladi Vishwakarma Samaja Seva Sangha Jayaram Acharya, president of Amasebailu Vishwakarma Samaja Seva Sangh Ratnakara Acharya Kela, secretary of Shankaranarayana Vishwakarma Samaja Seva Sangh Manjunatha Acharya Karebailu, Nagaraja Acharya Goliangadi, Prakash Acharya Kokkarne, as well as the parents of the assaulted boy, Raghavendra Acharya and Pratima.
