Mangalore: Police Nab Trickster Looting Passenger in Bus

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (RD)

Mangalore, Oct 26: The Mulky police arrested a man who was accused of skillfully looting the unwary passenger of inter-city-bus here on Wednesday October 26.

The arrested has been identified as Walter D’Souza (31). He was alleged of robbing a co-passenger traveling with him in an inter-city bus plying from Mumbai to city in the month of August.

The accused had drugged the co-passenger, Vishwanat Bhandary of Kumble by offering the latter with biscuits.  Meanwhile, when Vishwanat Bhandary was high on drug, the accused had decamped with jewellery worth Rs 2 lac from the baggage of Vishwanat when the bus stopped for a brief halt at Mulky, near here on August 3.

The sleuths led by ACP Muttumadayya who arrested Walter D’Souza at Mulky, recovered jewellery that he had sold to a jewellery shop at Jogeshwari, Mumbai.

The accused was presented before the court that remanded him judicial custody.  A case has been registered at Kadri police station in this regard.

Guy's thief is a thief...it does not matter whether he is a Christian, Hindu, Muslim or of any religion. In the same way Politicians who are thieves are to be punished whether Congress or BJP or any other party..!!!?? Unfortunately the political thieves get away with their crime because of money power (Because they do it in crores)& also they loot our natural resources which common people like us can not estimate value of what they loot ...!!!???

It is all because of our Churches do not take interest in educating prisoners who are not able to continue their studies because of lack of faineance. I have seen many Christian youth who are good in studies stopped their education due to financial difficulties. Our churches are supporting other communities rather first helping our own needy youth. “First let the children eat the bread” don’t verse this verse. In the interest of service and charity our churches have forgotten our won brother and sisters. People who studied in our organization today stand against us. I don’t diffend Walter D’Souza (31) what has he done to the fellow passenger it is complely wrong and punishable if he has been charged. Chrurchs must start free cources and basic skills to raise up fellow christens by taking free service from educated Christian youth. These kind of ugly acts will brings the disgrace to our community.

I wish I could give you my BINACA smile and tell you “This is all a part of a well planned conspiracy by the majority” but I am not Mr. Sadananda Gowda. A CHOR IS A CHOR irrespective of any religion or party and the rightful place for all CHOR’S is jail. I wonder where they are going to put Mr. Walter D’Souza as most of Karnataka’s jails are full with POLITICIANS. Happy Diwali Guys………

Mr Sandesh Shetty Kudla, never say that.We are all Indians and we may differ in political views for certain reasons. But certainly nobody in the DAIJIWORLD segregates for the reason of majority/minority when the issue of crime comes@ fore.

Interesting fact @ your comments are all India knows that BJP, one or other point not soliciting minority interest/issues which should looked in to if it genuine and legal. Therefore, don't spoil secular fabric of India by your misguided assumption.HAPPY DEEPAVALI FOR YOU AND ALL OUR OTHER HINDU BROTHERS.

ISMAIL.K.PERINJE, PERINJE-YANBU/KSA Manvit is right. In this case please see the name of the person accused. In case if the name of the person accused is from majority the people would have blamed hindu organizations and BJP govt for that. Now in this case the people cannot blame BJP state govt and hindu organizations because the person accused is from minority and as per you all BJP state govt is against minorities.

I THINK THIS IS THE SAME MAN WHO WAS HANDED OVER TO UDUPI/MULKI POLICE BY THE SAME VICTIM LONG BACK AND DAIJI DUBAI PORTAL HAD REPORTED THIS MATTER.

THEN WHAT IS THIS FALSE NEW STORY THAT SLEUTH LED BY ACP MUTTUMADAYYA HAVE ARRESTED HIM AT MULKY???

THAT MEANS SO LONG HE WAS KEPT IN A SECRET HOUSE UNDER ILLEGAL DETENTION FOR TORTURING.

WHAT WAS THE LOSS TO MR. BHANDARY? THAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AMOUNT LOST AND RECOVERED? WHERE IS THE DIFFERENCE GONE???

IT SEEMS A MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION.
