Sullia, Jun 25: A group of tourists from Mangaluru was reportedly assaulted by locals while visiting Patlabetta near Bisileghat, within the jurisdiction of Sakleshpur. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral on social media, prompting widespread attention and concern.

A youth from Kottara, Mangaluru, has lodged a complaint with the Yasalur police station in Sakleshpur. The police have confirmed that they are actively investigating the matter. The exact motive behind the assault remains unclear at this stage.

The video footage shows locals confronting the Mangaluru group as they attempted to reach the tourist spot on their bikes. The confrontation quickly escalated, leading to an assault on the tourists. The timing of the incident is also currently unknown.
