Kasargod: 22-yr-old youth killed as JCB overturns

Kasaragod, June 25: A tragic incident occurred in Bandadka on Tuesday, June 25, in the morning, resulting in the death of a young man after a JCB machine overturned.

Preetam Lal Chand (22), a resident of Bandadka, lost his life in the mishap. He was the son of Mini Chandran, the district president of Women's Congress. The accident happened while he was cleaning the machine at a relative's residence in Padpu in Banda.

Preetam was washing the JCB in the yard when it suddenly overturned, trapping him underneath. Despite efforts to rescue him and transport him to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.

He worked as an assistant to his brother Gautam Lal, who owns the JCB machine.

Bedadka police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
