Byndoor, Jun 26: In a significant breakthrough, Byndoor police arrested two individuals in connection with a cattle theft incident. The theft occurred in Shiroor village, where cows were found stolen from an open area in front of a hotel.
The accused, Abdul Samad (27) and Abdul Rehman (25), residents of Kodi, Kundapura, were detained near the Koteshwar-Haladi road. The police have seized two cars, a mobile phone, and a knife used in the theft. The estimated value of the seized vehicles is approximately Rs 9 lac.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of Udupi district superintendent of police Dr Arun K. Additional SP S T Siddalingappa, Paramaheshwar Hegde, Kundapur DySP Belliyappa K U, and Byndoor circle inspector Savitra Tej. The Byndoor police station law and order team, led by officer Timmesh B N, along with technical support from the district CDR division, played a crucial role in the operation. The team comprised personnel such as Prince K J, Sujith Kumar, Malappa Desai, Naveen Kumar, Soora Naik, Chandra, and Dinesh, who were instrumental in successfully arresting the accused.
