Hazare to Continue Vow of Silence

Ralegan-Siddhi (Maharashtra), Oct 27 (IANS): Anna Hazare said in his blog Thursday that he would continue his 'maun vrat', vow of silence, for some more days in view of his health.

"My health still does not permit me to give up the vow of silence...I have taken the decision to go on with maun vrat," he wrote on his blog.

Hazare explained that the swelling on his legs remains unabated, continuing to create problems for his knees.

The vow of silence he undertook Oct 16 proved beneficial since verbal communication weakens him, Hazare added.

After going on 'maun vrat', Hazare shifted his residence from the Padmavati Temple complex to his old residence, the Yadavbaba Temple complex, in this village, about 250 km from the state capital Mumbai.

Hazare has been accorded Z category security cover.
