At around 9 pm on Wednesday, during heavy rain, a wire fell from a nearby electricity pole. Raju came out of his room and was electrocuted by the detached wire. Hearing his screams, Devaraj immediately came out and tried to save him using a gunny bag. Unfortunately, due to the rain, Devaraj also received an electric shock. Both died on the spot.

So Sad, two lives lost in a fraction of few minutes. We the citizens of our city when we watch our MESCOM Poles in and around wonder looking at the over crowded pillars with so many wires & wonder what is what ? Which is Electricity wire & which are not? There are electricity wires, various cable wires, telephone wires, Jio fibre wires and many more. It is time the concerned authorities take appropriate stringent action about this un-authorized wires, to avoid these kind of mishaps and loss of innocent lives. Imagine the plight of family members of these two gentlemen, who were here to earn lively hood for the family & they perish for no fault of theirs. MESCOM please look in this and do something soon, before we have many more such incidents.

Public memory is very short; throughout the year so many innocent people die by coming in contact with power cables; recently a number of wild 🐘 s too have gotten killed by coming in contact with power lines haphazardly installed through forests; imagine a person of average weight coming in contact with these wires!!!

RIP!! Reiterate this power utility supplier is one of the worst company; just see the quality of equipment they use, placement of transformers, proximity of power lines to houses, buildings, rickety poles overloaded by tensioned wires; rainy season this place is extremely risky as the chances of coming into contact with HT lines is very high; many innocent people lose their precious lives due to electric shocks especially during this season; worst is their own linemen perishing while working on live wires without any sort of safety measures; all in all only some divine power can protect people from this purely manmade tragedy!! The next of kin should file a heavy compensation suit against this company for crass negligence and sloppy workmanship!! Unless this type of tragedy befalls anybody's close kin, one will not understand the pain!! BTW; in the recent hoarding collapse, which killed many innocent people in Mumbai, top police officers have been suspended for corrupt practices involvingthehoarding!! Please note that this is a very personal opinion based on the facts available in the public domain, please do your own research 🙏 😀

Heavy rain and wind could be the reason, it's essential for Mescom to stay alert. Rest in peace to the deceased.
