Kundapur, Jun 28: "My purpose is to ensure that the hardships I faced in my childhood are not experienced by the children of our village. The struggles and challenges I faced while attending school inspired me to contribute to the field of education as much as I can," said businessman and founder of SKF, Dr G Ramakrishna Achar.
He was speaking at an event held at the Sri Vinayaka Sabha Bhavana, where he handed over a school bus to the students of the Yadadi Mathyadi Government Higher Primary School through the Dr G Ramakrishna Achar Charitable Trust.
"Education should be accessible to every child. Only then can the nation become strong. I had countless dreams as a child, but I had to face numerous challenges to realize them. Education should be easily attainable for every child," he said.
Mahesh Hegde, president of the Sujjan Education Trust, inaugurated the event. In his address, he said, "The combination of earning wealth and having a desire to serve the people has elevated Dr Ramakrishna Achar to great heights. His concern for the school he attended and his village should be an inspiration to all of us. His contribution should serve as a stepping stone for every child."
On this occasion, Dr G Ramakrishna Achar and his wife, along with Mahesh Hegde, were honored and felicitated.
