Bantwal: Absconding jewellery theft accused arrested after 12 years

Bantwal, Jun 29: Police have arrested an individual accused in a jewellery shop theft in the town, who had been absconding for the past 12 years. The arrest took place in Madhya Pradesh.

Amar Singh, also known as Amjath Singh, a native of Mahakalipura in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, is the accused who was apprehended by the police. He was presented in court on Friday.

Singh was involved in a jewellery shop theft in 2012 and had been evading court hearings since then.

Head constable Ganesh N and constable Manjunath from Bantwal police station travelled to Mahakalipura and successfully arrested the accused.
