Mangaluru, Jun 29: Swaroopa N Shetty is nominated as state chief secretary of Karnataka Pradesh Mahila Congress by state president Pushpa Amarnath on the instructions of All India Women Congress president Alka Lamba.
In her order, Alka Lamba said that this responsibility is given under the presidentship of AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge and directions of chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister D K Shivakumar, senior leaders of the party in order to bring women into the main stream of administration politically, socially, academically and economically and also to organize the party and strengthen it.
