Udupi, Jun 29: In response to a recent incident where a rickshaw fell into a ditch, Yashpal Suvarna, MLA of Udupi, has instructed municipal council officials to promptly construct a safety barrier along both sides of the road connecting Kalsanka to the Sri Krishna Math parking area.
Concerned for the safety of thousands of daily commuters, Yashpal Suvarna, along with municipal council officials, visited the site to assess the situation. The MLA has proposed reconstructing the deteriorating ditch sides through the minor irrigation department.
Municipal councillors Girish Anchan, Balakrishna Shetty, and Durga Prasad AEE, among others were present.
