Udupi, Jun 30: The poster for the Kannada movie ‘Illa Sallada Bhaya Parikshe Bhaya’ was launched at Christ Church, Manipal, on unday, June 30.
Speaking at the event, writer and director V P D’Sa said, “We have chosen a very interesting subject for this new movie. Students suffer during exams, so I have taken this big step. I am very nervous because very few go to the theater to watch movies. It is very surprising that graduated students do not know 8th-grade mathematics. To learn a mathematics formula, we require six hours of class. I request everyone to watch this movie as it could change the lives of students and help parents guide their children.”
“When I was working in Dubai, I noticed that the way people perceive problems there is different from how Indians see them. This inspired me to make a movie on this subject. The campus shooting will be done at the Christ School campus. The movie covers very interesting topics such as (a+b)^2 and physics concepts.”
Eliza Vaz, Principal of Christ School, said, “I would like to congratulate the whole team. They have chosen very relevant topics for their movie. In a world where movies often focus on crime, love, and other subjects, V P D’Sa has chosen a meaningful topic.”
Navya, who played the role of a psychiatrist in the movie, commented, “This movie is basically for students. It will help them overcome their fear of exams, showing the 25 stages of exam fear and solutions to it. It’s a purely student-based movie, so everyone must watch it.”
The poster was launched by Fr Romeo Lewis, priest of Christ Church, Eliza Vaz, principal of Christ School, and Eveline D’Sa, mother of V P D’Sa.
As the name indicates, this movie addresses the various challenges faced by students under immense pressure to perform, parents' concerns and confusion about their children's future, teaching faculties' inability to transition from age-old teaching practices to modern-day teaching requirements, and the academic system's resistance to change. The movie discusses problems and solutions that will change the educational vision of every student and parent. Examination fear won't bother you again.
The movie features a diverse and talented cast, including Atish Shetty, Saritha, Navya Pratiksha, Alister, Radhika Bhat, Ashwini, V P Quadras, Akshay Bhat, Chandravati Pitrodi, Vimal, and Anilda. The screenplay and direction are by V P D’Sa, with cinematography by Navarasam Studios.
The movie will be released in two parts: the first part featuring indoor shoots and the second part featuring outdoor shoots. It will be released on September 2 during the Ganesh festival in theaters.
