Udupi: SMVITM organises Arduino workshop

Udupi, Jun 30: An Ardiunio workshop was organised at Sri Anantheshwara English Medium High School, and Government Composite High school, Volakadu, Udupi, by SMVITM students on June 27.

On the subject of ‘Ardiuino’ by Atal Tinkering Lab, a one-day workshop was organized.

In the workshop, using arduino board, arduino programming, project making and other electronic components were demonstrated by Aditya Das, Atul Bhat, Dhanush S, Dhruv Patel and Kathyayini Kamath and Panchami Hebbar. Dhanush and Dhanush Kumar, were resource persons of the event, who explained about arduino configuration, connecting various components like LED, Buzzer, Servomotors, different sensors and demonstrated the building of different project models.

Ragavendra Ishwar Hegde, assistant professor, department of computer science, was the event co-coordinator. Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff of government composite high school, and Anantheshwara High school cooperated for the smooth conduct of the event.

Atal Tinkering Lab provides for activity-based learning in schools identified across the country. This programme helps in shaping young minds to promote entrepreneurship and innovation.

Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management students along with professors have organised such events in 17 schools identified in Udupi district to students from 6th grade to 12th grade.
