Udupi, Jun 30: Lachchi Poojarti (97), mother of Kota Srinivas Poojary, the Member of Parliament for Udupi-Chikkamagalur Lok Sabha constituency, passed away on Sunday, June 30 due to age-related health issues.
She was a resident of Kotatattu in Kote.
She is survived by her son, Kota Srinivas Poojary, and two daughters. Kota Srinivas Poojary often acknowledged his mother's significant role in his success.
Several prominent figures have expressed their condolences over her demise, including Kiran Kumar Kodgi, MLA of Kundapur; Yashpal Suvarna, MLA of Udupi; Gurme Suresh Shetty, MLA of Kaup; Gururaj Gantihole, MLA of Byndoor; Sunil Kumar, MLA of Karkala; and businessman Anand C Kunder, along with various state and national-level dignitaries.
