Bantwal, Jul 1: Dharnappa Kulal (74), a resident of Antara in Narikombu village, succumbed to injuries on June 30 following a serious road accident that occurred on February 14 at Mogarnad. He is survived by his wife, daughter, and two sons.
Dharnappa was struck by a motorcycle while waiting to cross the road. Despite receiving extensive medical treatment, his condition did not improve, and he was brought home about a month ago. A case regarding the accident has been filed at the Bantwal rural police station.
Dharnappa was the founder of Sri Kodandarama Bajana Mandir and a well-known Bhajan singer. He served daily at Antara Sri Nalkathaya Panjurli Daivastana and was recognized as a progressive farmer.
