Mangaluru: Parent Teacher association meet held at Ladyhill English Higher Primary School

Mangaluru, Jul 1: The Parent Teacher Association annual general body meeting was held on June 29 in Ladyhill Golden Jubilee Memorial Hall. The event commenced with a soulful prayer song performed by the school choir. The melodious rendition marked a solemn yet uplifting start to the meeting.

Following the prayer song, a vibrant welcome dance was performed by the students. The dance, filled with energy and grace, showcased the cultural diversity and talent within the student body, captivating the audience and setting a festive mood for the event.

Teacher Lavita Correa extended a warm greeting to all parents, special guests and teachers through a welcome speech and teacher Sherine Vinod introduced the chief guest of the day to the audience

The chief guest, Vincent D'Costa, principal of Sharada Residential School ICSE, Kunjibettu, Udupi, a renowned educationist, took the stage and shared his insights on modern educational practices and the pivotal role of parental involvement in children's education. His speech was both inspiring and informative, emphasizing the need for a strong partnership between parents and teachers to enhance student outcomes.

Principal Sr Jennifer Moras AC addressed the parents, offering key reminders and general instructions. She emphasized the importance of adhering to school policies, participating actively in school events, and maintaining open communication between parents and teachers to support the students' academic and personal development.

The PTA annual report was presented detailing the activities and achievements of the PTA over the past year. Following this, the auditor's statement was presented by Joyline Rebello, providing a transparent account of the PTA's financial status.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with refreshments served to all attendees, fostering informal interactions and discussions among the parents and teachers. Teacher Rosely D’Costa proposed a vote of thanks and teacher Nisha D'Souza served as the compère for the Parent-Teacher Association annual general body meeting.
