Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 2: Doctors' Day was celebrated at St Theresa's School to pay respect to all the doctors, who are often seen as the embodiment of god, serving as instruments in giving life to humans. A general assembly was conducted where the significance of the day was highlighted.

Doctors Day is celebrated to mark the birth and death anniversary of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, a renowned physician, educationist, and philanthropist.

The school was honoured to have Dr Rhea Alva, an alumna and the ICSE topper of the first batch of 2005, return to her alma mater to share her journey and insights with her juniors. Currently, Dr Rhea Alva is serving as a physician and professor at KMC, Mangaluru. She was interviewed by Sara and Zara of Class IX, who delved into her passion for her profession and the motivation behind her decision to become a doctor.

The students had a meaningful interaction with Dr Rhea Alva, which inspired them to aspire to be impactful members of society.
