Lokayukta Court Cancels BJP MLA Sampangi's Bail in Bribery Case

Bangalore, Oct 28 (PTI) : The Lokayukta court on Friday cancelled the bail of BJP MLA Y Sampangi, facing corruption charges and remanded him to judicial custody till Saturday when the two witnesses in the case will be examined.

Lokayukta court judge N K Sudhindra Rao cacelled the bail of Sampangi, after the court found him guilty of threatening a witness.

The court further remanded him to judicial custody till Saturday when the examination of the two witnesses in the case is completed. The two witnesses in the case are Farooq, who Sampamgi was found to have threatened, and Arun Kumar.

Sampangi was caught by the Lokayukta police in January 2009 at the legislator s home while accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from Hussain M Farooq, a businessman.

The legislator, who represents Kolar Gold Fields in the Karnataka assembly, was booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act, and charges were framed against him earlier this year.

Farooq had earlier approached the High Court seeking cancellation of bail to Sampangi.

The Lokayukta police failed twice to get Sampangi s bail cancelled. A special House Committee, which looked into the corruption charges against the BJP MLA, had recommended to the State Assembly to close the issue in March last year.

The committee had suggested that complainant Farooq be reprimanded for tarnishing the legislator s image by making 'false allegations' against him.

Only peoples court can or will decide on whether it is conspiracy or not. Only non congress politicians have been targetted in both central and state. People are watching closely on this new development about the credibility of Lokayukta and CBI.

I think its a good idea to start winter session in Parappana agrahara jail so that all leaders can attend the session. At least we can save public money from these useless politicians in the name of winter session in vidhana soudha. And also its the right time to open party office for all political parties in Parappana agrahara jail so that in near future all jailed and unjailed(trial) can involve in active politics. When BJP finish its 5 year term(hopefully ?)may be more ministers will be inside Parappana Agrahara than outside the jail. Only God can save our Karnataka..

One more wicket is fallen in “Banana Republic of Karnataka Jungle Raj”. Many more are in Queue.
The Home Minister R Ashok has illegally denotified two pieces of land (about half an acre of land) in north Bangalore and acquired it at less than market rate because of his clout as a minister.
The Heavy Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani illegally denotified 20 acres of fully developed industrial land near the Bangalore airport.
The man Friday of Advani’s Jan Chetan Yatra, Ananth Kumar is facing allegations in HUDCO loan sanctioning scam.
The 787 officials (Babus) indicted in Lokayukta inquiry are facing charges.
Many more skeletons will roll off the dirty political wardrobes of “Banana Republic of Karnataka Jungle Raj”.
Still Advani is harping on anti-corruption and want to pass his yatra through Karnataka.
Jai Ho to BJP and the corrupt leaders & Babus in the Jungle-Raj of Karnataka!

ALL THE BAILS APPLICATIONS OF BJP MLA'OR MINISTERS WHO ARE IN JAILS SHOULD BE CANCELLED AND NO ONE SHOULD BE GIVEN BAILS AT ANY COST AS THEY WILL TAMPER WITH EVIDENCE AS PER THE EX-CM YEDDY'S ADVICE WHO IS IN JAIL ALSO. YEDDY WILL DO ANYTHING AT ANY COST TO SEE THAT THE REMOTE CONTROL IS IN HIS HANDS. NOW ALSO THE GOVERNMENT IS RUN BY YEDDY EVEN FROM INSIDE THE JAIL. GOWDA IS JUST A PUPPET. EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING IN KARNATAKA ON THE INSTRUCTIONS OF YEDDY. EVEN ASHOK SHOULD BE ARRESTED IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT ANY DELAY AS AN FIR IS ALREADY LODGED. WHY LOKAUKTA POLICE ARE DELAYING TO ARREST ASHOK IS CREATING DOUBTS IN THE MINDS OF PUBLIC ? LAW SHOULD BE FOR ALL MAY BE HE IS CM OR HOME MINISTER. ASHOK SHOULD BE INVESTGATED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AS ASHOK WAS ALWAYS WITH CM YEDDY. SO THERE IS NO DOUBT ASHOK ALSO IS INVOLVED IN THIS MATTER OF LOOTING LANDS AND DENOTICATION. LAW SHOULD TAKE ITS OWN COURSE. ASHOK WAS MADE HOME MINSTER SHUNING ACHARYA FROM HOME MINISTRY.

Very soon, we can see Sampangi falling sick just like all the other 3rd class leaders, and his able counsel appealing for bail stating that he is suffering from BP, and all related issues except AIDS.

I never thought these BJP crooks will be behind bars so early. These BJP crooks had such arrogance that they thought nobody can touch them and they will rule the state for many more years with their money and muscle power.

It is the curse of ordinary people which may be one of the reasons of law taking it own course in such a short time. This is also eye opener for other politicians to discharge their power in the right way for the welfare of the people.

Now people have seen all the three major political parties in the Karnataka government but this BJP government scores above all in corruption, nepotism, illegal mining and land grabbing.

Karnataka’s political wickets are regularly and continuously falling down. Some are clean bowled, some are caught and bowled, some are lbw’s some are hit wickets, Some are run out, Some are injured and retired. Now Lokayaukta is removing sampangi’s angi/shirt to wear jail angi/jail shirt. Mr. Sampangi have a nice R.I.J./Rest in Jail with idli vaada & saambaar.
