Kundapur, Jul 3: Strong winds accompanying heavy rainfall over the past three days have caused extensive damage to agriculture and forestry in the Amasebailu village of Kundapur taluk, specifically in the Rattadi and Kolanje areas, resulting in the destruction of crops and trees worth lacs of rupees.
Continuous rainfall for three days has battered the rural regions of Amasebailu Gram Panchayat, leading to significant damage to agricultural fields in Rattadi and Kolanje. In Kolanje, approximately three and a half acres of farmland have been devastated by the severe storm. Numerous houses have also been damaged.
In Rattadi, the storm uprooted trees and caused extensive damage to plantations. Roofs of several houses have also collapsed. Tahsildar Shobhalakshmi, along with forest, agriculture, and revenue officials, visited the affected areas to assess the damage.
