Udupi, Jul 4: Holiday was also declared for educational institutions of Byndoor educational block in wake of heavy rains at plateau region of Western Ghats.

Deputy commissioner Dr Vidyakumari said, “Holiday is applicable from first to 10th grade only. No holiday has been declared for schools of Byndoor taluk. Holiday is declared to Byndoor block as it is low lying area geographically. So as a precaution, a holiday is declared.”
