Bantwal, July 4: Bantwal taluk has been severely affected by continuous heavy rainfall, leading to significant damage in various areas.

Starting from Wednesday night, with the backdrop of extensive rainfall, Bantwal Tahsildar Archana Bhat announced the closure of anganwadis, primary schools, and high schools across the taluk.

In the village of Mandadi, located beneath Bantwal town, there has been partial damage reported to the house of Nandini, likely due to rainfall.

Meanwhile, in Madhva village of Kaval Paduru, a tree fell and caused damage to the residence of Yogish Pujari. Officials from the revenue department have visited the affected areas to assess the situation and have initiated relief efforts.
