Udupi: Body of 19-year-old Breadwinner Washed Ashore

Udupi, Oct 29: A 19-year-old youth who went missing in Kaup beach on Friday October 28, was found dead on Saturday October 29.
Sudhakar Acharya, son of Gopal Acharya and Varija who reside near Raghavendra Mutt, Uchila is the deceased. He and his friends Chethan, Guruprasad and Santhosh had come to the beach to enjoy the Diwali holiday on Friday.
But the happy occasion turned into tragedy when Sudhakar and Chetan were washed away by the waves. However, timely arrival of lifeguards in speed boats helped rescue Chetan, but Sudhakar went missing.
On Saturday around noon, the locals found Sudhakar's body on the seashore. Kaup police also arrived and the body was sent for post mortem.
Sudhakar was known to be a hardworking youth who was engaged in centring work and was the breadwinner of his family. He was the youngest and only male among four siblings. The eldest among his three sisters is engaged and is to get married in three months.
