Bantwal, Jul 6: The mortal remains of Girish (37), an auto-rickshaw driver who went missing along with Darshana Patri on Thursday morning, were discovered in the Phalguni river on Friday evening.

Early on Thursday morning, Girish left his house, stating that he had a passenger to pick up in his auto-rickshaw. Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that Girish parked his vehicle on the Addoor-Polali bridge and subsequently jumped into the Phalguni river.

Girish's remains were found at Kelaginakere in Addoor. He is survived by his wife and two children. The motive behind Girish's drastic action remains unknown.
