Mangaluru: 'Green Day' celebration brings joy, learning to kindergarteners at Carmel School

Media Release

Mangaluru, Jul 7: The green colour day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm on Friday, July 5.

Little learners from LKG and UKG classes, along with their teachers, arrived at school in beautiful green attires, embodying an eco-friendly spirit. The school was transformed into a verdant paradise, with classrooms and corridors adorned with green balloons and objects, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere.

Throughout the day, various activities were conducted to highlight the significance of the colour green and to teach children about different green objects.

The young students brought green-coloured snacks, which they eagerly shared with their classmates, fostering a sense of community and sharing. Class teachers led engaging activities like fingerprints and handprints, allowing the tiny tots to express their creativity while reinforcing their understanding of the colour green.

In a heart-warming initiative, UKG children, with the guidance of their teachers, planted a sapling in the school garden, symbolising growth and the importance of nurturing nature.

To further enrich the learning experience, teachers set up a "Green Colour Corner" in each classroom, showcasing various green objects like Apple, chilly, Brinjal, Capsicum, Cucumber and Tree. This interactive space provided the children with an opportunity to explore and learn more about the significance of the colour green in their everyday lives.

Overall, the day was a delightful blend of fun and education, leaving the little ones with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for the environment.
