Puttur: Car driver injured in collision with KSRTC bus

Puttur, Jul 8: The driver of a car was injured in a head-on collision with a KSRTC bus at Barchinahalla near Gundya in Shiradi village on Sunday.

The injured, Harsha (49), a resident of Bengaluru, was traveling from Bengaluru to Mangaluru, while the KSRTC bus was en route from Dharmasthala to Bengaluru.

Harsha, who sustained serious injuries in the accident, received first aid at a hospital in Nellyadi and was later transferred to a private hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment.

A case regarding the accident has been registered at the Uppinangady police station.
