Bantwal: ICYM Allipade organises free sapling distribution, snake bite awareness programme

Bantwal, Jul 9: ICYM Allipade conducted a unique programme titled 'My Nature, My Responsibility', which included free sapling distribution and a snake bite awareness programme on July 7 after the mass. Riya Moras along with other members, sang a devotional prayer song.

Later, ICYM president Mishal D'Souza welcomed the guests of the day’s programme, including Fr Robert D'Souza, parish priest and director of ICYM Allipade; brother superior of Cluny Convent, Sr Narsiza; vice president and secretary of Allipade, Naveen Moras and Kiran Noronha; Wilson D'Souza, animator of ICYM; and the ICYM president Mishal and secretary Primal and president of icym bantwal deanery Arrol Jackson Sequeira. The centre of attraction and resource person, Snake Kiran, was also present, as well as Nithin Raj, deputy manager of HDFC Bank.

All the guests inaugurated the programme by watering a plant, after which Fr Robert delivered some inspirational words. Then, Reshma Moras introduced the resource person, Snake Kiran, Later, Snake Kiran delivered an insightful talk about snakes and raised awareness about them, which greatly impressed the parishioners.

Later, Fr Robert D'Souza distributed saplings to the seven ward representatives. President Mishal and secretary Primal also presented saplings as mementos to our honoured guests.

Later, secretary Primal Pinto delivered a vote of thanks to everyone gathered. Snake Kiran was presented with a sapling by Fr Robert as a memento.

Reshma Moras hosted the event. The programme concluded with the distribution of free saplings to each ward.
