Udupi: Burial held for two corpses without heirs

Udupi, Jul 10: The last rites of the two bodies, which were preserved in the mortuary unit of the district hospital, were held at the Bedinagudde crematory ground on July 9.

Ramesh Y, ASI Town Police station, along with Sushma, investigation assistant and Sadashiva, ASi Kaup Police Station along with Shiva Nayak Mahaja conducted the legal proceedings. ASI of Byndoor police station offered flowers and Nityananda Olakadu performed the last rites of the two bodies.

The unidentified body of a patient who died in the district hospital and the body of a woman found on the railway track, Udyavar were cremated.

Saji Kumar, Vinayachandra, Harish Poojary, Rajashree, Vikas Shetty assisted the cremation process, City Municipal Council and District Hospital cooperated.
